Hi, my name is Elden.

I teach Body Advocacy.

Body Advocacy is a genre-defying modality sprouting from two decades of study & application. This work is informed by the experience of hundreds of different bodies across a wide array of contexts. At its heart the goal of Body Advocacy is to support us as humans in aligning with our Body as an honored, loving home in all that we do.


As a modality Body Advocacy addresses our Body's experience across 3 primary contexts:

  • Physical Awareness: the ability to hear the language of our Body.
  • Mental Understanding: the ability to understand the language of our Body.
  • Relational Integrationthe ability to integrate our knowledge of our body in relationship to ourselves & others.

The specific forms used to address the contexts are customized to meet individual needs based on data cultivated by listening to our Body's living experience.

1-to-1 Body Advocacy work provides guidance & space to:

  • Connect with sensations as the language of Body.
  • Identify the roots of behavior patterns.
  • Cultivate awareness of the energy systems of the body,
  • Build capacity to be with the joys & challenges of life.

Symptoms that often lead to Body Advocacy work include:

  • General sense of disconnection from Body &/or Sensations.
  • Challenges tolerating emotions & emotional charge.
  • Anxiety
  • Physical Pain
  • Incessant &/or negative thought patterns

Couples Body Advocacy work provides guidance & space to:

  • Cultivate awareness of the ways our Body tending is impacting our relationship.
  • Create Body affirming relational practices to support safety & intimacy within the relationship.
  • Build capacity to communicate about & be with the joys & challenges of life within relationship.

  • Challenges communicating peacefully in moments of conflict.

Body Advocacy has a Story


Before sharing some of that story I'd like to share a prayer I work with to tap into the ancestral wisdom of my Body's bones, blood, breath & tissues.

This prayer is a homage to the most ancient of my ancestors.

Body Advocacy has been deeply influenced & supported by connecting to the energy of ancestors (past/present/future). There are ancestors I trust, there are others I do not.

Ummah is a wisdom keeper deeply connected to their ancestral homelands. Lands my physical body has never stepped foot on. Ummah is a primary guiding force supporting in noticing, accepting, understanding & embracing information carried through Body.

I trust Ummah to guide me in ways that support Body & all those connected to Them.

Body's capacity for forgiveness is vast.

To claim that I've always been an advocate for my Body would be a lie.

Truth is... for a long time I neglected, abused, even hated my Body. I punished Them (my Body) for appearing different than some imagined ideal about how They should look. I scorned Them for Their inability to keep up, push through, excel.

I was embarrassed by Them.

I pushed Them beyond their capacity consistently using my anger as a fuel for self destructive behaviors.

Body Advocacy's roots extend down into the rich, dark soil of the pressure & pain of those times.

The journey from there to here is supported by many, many wonderful Beings.It feels important to acknowledge these Beings before moving further into the story of Body Advocacy.

Bodies are time traveling record keepers.

Everything that's ever happened is recorded in the tissues of Body. Body keeps the living record of untold ages of information spanning back countless generations. Body accesses & influences this information day-in & day-out. Mind boggling to consider, powerful to acknowledge.

The Body Advocacy story is the story of my Body & my relationship with Them.

From a hawk-eye view of felt time, here it is.

Be-aware, time in this story isn't straight...

NEED to FEEL: pain will do.

Doctrine: "Life's a B****, and then you die."
